HELP - my male swordtail is very sick!!

Hi there,

I have a tank with 2 male and 5 female swordtails. They have been in there at least a month and have all been fine.

One of my male started bullying the other one a week or so ago and now my poor bullied boy looks awful. He is very pale and his fins look almost fluffy and are always tensed. His sword went from being really long and a beautiul yellow colour, to bing pale and split into three.

I have enclosed a before and after pic. You can't really get the full affect of his colouring but his tail was bright yellow. Please help me I really don't want to lose him.

hmmm...after doing a bit of research I think it may be fin rot which is actually a relief because i can get some medi into him and he should be right as rain.

ya way to be self answering now if we could have more peeps like this. with his fin rot use melafix works awesome i had a guppy that had its tail and both pec fins with fin rot and melafix used as directed cured
