help my oscar is goin nuts!

i was sitting on the couch doing homework and i her something bang on the tank and i looked up and the oscar is scraping he head/body on the gravel and other random stuff in the tank, so i get up to check for anything on him like paracties and nothing was, so is this normal or does anybody know whats goin on??

my oscar used to "pop" the lids on his tank to tell me he was ready for his snack now! They are very smart fish and will get your attention to get something they want. It is normal behavior.
 
If he is scraping his body on the gravel and streaking across the tank it may not be normal behavior. It could be parasites, infection, or water quality issues. Some problems with cichlids can't be seen with the naked eye. Did you do anything recently to your tank like a water change or added something new to the tank?
 
no but i did notice like little bumps the tip his tail it kinda looked under his skin but i couldnt find anything on the enternet and it wasnt ick cause i know what that looks like, any ideas?
 
sorry I skimmed over the question a little too quickly. if he is constantly rubbing and acting irritated by something, i would definitely do a parasite treatment. Like said above, you cannot always see what is going on.

I don't really know what the bumps could be from. There are a number of things that could have caused them. Can you post a picture...a good picture? You can also check the disease forum. There is a great sticky that may help you narrow down what is bothering your Oscar.
