Help my Pleco!

I noticed about 3 days ago that an area on the side of my pleco's head was getting lighter. Almost as if his skin was being rubbed off or corroding away... Now there looks to be a small hole there. I'll have to do a params check, but I do weekly 50%+ water changes and he has been eating very well and none of the other fish are showing signs of anything.

heater burn perhaps that has developed into something more, hence the hole. my old bristlenose like sitting right up against my heater, im surprised he didnt have burns. and i know heater burns are quite common with plecs.

try melafix and pimafix together. you should notice some improvement in a couple of days.

If I add this to my tank, will it affect my other fish?

not unless you overdose. try and be as accurate as possible as with all meds.

im sticking with my initial thoughts of a burn gone bad. if anyone else has something to say or knows different then please chime in.

just some melafix or salt will do.
