This is sort of a continuation from my last post (Help for my fish). Well my RD has gotten worse, and I have no idea what to do about it. He is in the corner with clamped fins, and its almost like his scales are flaking off. He has no signs of being beaten on by the Jag or Jack, and I know its definately not ich because there are no spots on any of my fish and none are 'scratching'. He is also still somewhat bloated, as he was 2 days ago.

I have no idea what to do, and I am almost at a panic. :nilly:
What should I do?

Could be internal parasites or a bacterial/fungal infection. I would take him out and put him in a hospital tank with melafix/pimafix combo with some aquarium salt. Make sure the filtration/aeration is good and all water params are as close to perfect as possible. I would do this right away....
-oh and make sure to pull the carbon.

If it was bacterial, then could it pass on to my other fish. I ask this because my Jag and Jack all show signs of stress (clamped fins and dark colors). And i know they aren't just doing that to show they feel sorry for the RD.

I think I will be uploading some picts of my RD and Jack. Because now that I got a good look at my Jack, it looks like he has it too. I did look at my Jag but he doesnt seem to have it.

would Melafix and Pimifix work? I've seen the reviews for them and they seem to work. I have also read that I should clean my decorations with warm ("not boiling") water, is this true? and then also to do good water changes (30- 40 %) every 2 days?

I will if I have to, or even if its a good idea. I dont want to loose my fish.

I don't wanna be the only one answering back to you hahaha but ya bacterial and fungal infections can easily be passed on to tank mates... And I highly recommend the melafix/pimafix combo... helped cure my rtc x tsn of fin rott he cought from some dirty feeders...

So, today I went down to check on my RD, since i treated him with pimafix the day before. And there he was on his side by the air bubbler barely moving at all...

It appears that the fungus has gotten even larger on him.

Is there anything I can do to help, other than wait for the pimafix to work? Such as rinse him off with tank water to loosen/ get rid of some of the fungus on him?

I really feel like all i can do right now is to watch him die, or wait for a miracle to happen....
