hello, Last weekend I bough a Red Snook ..and I've never seen it eat ..but its belly looks fat ..does anyone know anything about these fish ..he's in 180 with 2 small severums , a sliver aro , and a peacock bass..and the snook is the biggest fish.

Could you please post pics of the tummy from various angles?
Do the scales seem protruding at all?
What other symptoms have you observed?
How does the poop look?
Is it bullied at all?

What are your water parameters currently?
Temperature?
Filtration?
Maintenance schedule?
Foods?

The first issue I've seen is you did not appear to quarantine the fish. How long has the tank been established anyway? You will need to quarantine every new fish you get regardless of the sources to safeguard the rest from possible transmission of diseases to avoid losing them.

Even if your snook is the biggest, if it is being harassed by the more established tank mates, chances are good why it refuses to even eat at all. If the poop is stringy and white, it may likely be suffering from digestive troubles.

More info is needed to establish the exact cause of this issue.
