HELP my red tail shark is dying!!!

I've already put him in a hospital tank he swims a little then lays on his side. I don't have any meds on hand to put in with him. Anyone know any remedies to get him thro the night?
 
I don't think he's gonna make it thro the night. He looks too weak and can barely swim. I didn't want to put him down but its the only humane thing to do now. :(
 
my porcupine fish does that and he's fine, he does it all the time. It just means thier getting a little old. As long as he doesen't float on his side.
