hey guysss....hi there well this is my first post....i just added a silver aro abt a week abck hes abt 12 inches now I have a 180 gal he doesnt wanna eat food for some reason...I tried givin him aro sticks and floating pellets ...no joy 2day finally i got some live feeder guppies he just had 1 of them rest all were devoured by my oscars is this normal?

S/he may still be adjusting, all you can really do is make sure your water chemistry is on point and keep trying different foods... The aggressiveness of the oscar at feeding may be slowing down it's acclimating rate. try some crickets arows go nuts over them!

A healthy aro will feed. Give yours some time to adjust. He/she will learn it has to compete for food or starve. It will feed.

feeder goldies are not advisable, due to the poss of disease carrying..i don't like you mixing the aro with o's...too stressfull for the aro, in my opinion...

i have another 75 gal tank will my o's be fine in that ?
I mean ill have to set it up...I have 2 copper oscars abt 10 inches

When the aro get's bigger (18" +) it should be ok with oscars, but at smaller sizes the aro will be pushed around.

I wouldn't be too worried about him not feeding. Mine did that for 2 weeks, then just snapped out of it one night and started eating everything.

idk about you guys but mine won't touch pellets, so I feed them to my crickets then feed the crickets to the aro. Just a suggestion.
