Guys my tank that holds my silver Arowana, flowerhorn, Macaw chiclids, piranhas and silver dollars has got ICK. Immediate action I have taken is raise the temperature, add a high dosage of salt. Increase filtration flow. I have also added Bactonil in recommended dosage.

The tank is 200 gallons.

Any further suggestions?

Be patient it can take up 3 weeks to clear. Salt should be at a 3% concentration. Vacuum gravel and do appropriate water changes. Replace the salt that was removed with the water change. Check ur water parameters.

After all is cured and if all have survived then I would separate the fish if all are in one tank.

Go to Walmart, get some quickcure, temp to around 80 degrees, treat it asap. Should clear after 4-5 days. Your fish will thank you for it instead of you just adding salt and letting the disease cycle through naturally.

Just lost my silver Arowana :(

To raise the salinity to 3ppt (under 3 ppt (parts per thousand), ick are not harmed
you will need to add at least 6 lbs of salt to a 200 gal tank, and add an appropriate amount back during water changes.
You will also need to keep treating at least a week or 2 after the last ick spot has disappeared..
