Help! My tanks keep shrinking!

Is it just me? Every question I ask on here is a bad idea that I need reasonable people to talk me out of. I am currently returning from a week long trip out of town and I should be returning to a cycled empty 125 (I know, Gold fish bowl sized around here)waiting for my perch/Sunfish/bullhead, but I’m already thinking it won’t be complete without a school of Black Crappie. It doesn’t seem to matter what size my tank is, the fish I want are bigger. Is it ever big enough?

I’m just going off a quick google search so I’m not sure if it is true about the potential size.

It says black crappie have a potential to reach just over 19 inches in length....if this is true then I would say you could maybe do one in a 125g though it would look cramped when it reached full size and most likely require a lot of water changes.

Also the tank would def need to be deeper than 18 inches in order for this fish to turn around....

My 2 black crappie i had were every bit of a foot long each, too big for my 310 almost.

I would just end up thinking about all the cool fish from Sea World that wouldn’t fit in it.
