I was in the LFS the other day and they had in there tank buster tank a pike chiclid. just labeled as such no scientific name or ANY other info.
It looked very much like the pic on post 51 (the first pic)

It was not very colorful no lateral line and no spot on the tail. he was however over 12" long and very harty (looked well taken care for)
They were only asking $25 for him. (is this a good price I have never seen one for sale)
So one does this fish sound familiar to anyone. Could it be the same type as the post? I know I should have gotten pics but I wasn't exactly shopping for me lol.
Also what is the general requirments for this type of fish. If I were to get him he would temperarly go into a 125 till I got my 585 running. The 125 has pseudacanthicus plecos in it. Well one right now and 2 by months end. The plecos are 10"+ and the one I'm getting soon is 12"+ so the pike would not be oversized for his tankmates. The tank is a sand bottom and has lots of driftwood. No fake or real plants and no chincy decor.
