help need with gill wound

2 days ago my catfish had a fight with the arowana. The catfish suffered lots of scratches and a wound beside it gills. I had moved the catfish to a quarantine tank and started treating it with melafix, the scratches are healing but the wound around the gill is not, but actually became more red and it is breathing heavily . It has not eaten anything since then and keeps moving around nonstop during daytime and night. Wanted to know if there is anything I need to do, or change the treatment method? Are their creams used for infections?

I'd stop the Melafix for now and stick to daily water changes by at least 25%. The Melafix may be interfering with its breathing capabilities as the wound is near the gill cover. Smear the foods with garlic to entice it to eat.
