and now my 3x jack dempseys have the growths around the mouths and the growth as started to come back on my Green Texas nostril
all the fish are behaving normally eating and my texas has been spawning about every 6 weeks

atm i have no gravel in my tank as adviced to remove it untill i have resolved my problem
so im skimming the bottom of the tank every 2 days to remove waste

i hope some one can help me with this as none of my LFS no wot it is

Clean the tank. Fresh water (Clean water) and salt bath will work. Melefix or pimafix can work. Tank mates? Are they fighting? Clean water will fix this all up. I had fungus growing on my cichla as well. 50% water change a day, prime and salt cured the infected one. My Tank temp was about 84 degress F.

thanks il try primafix and salt and the bottom of the tank only looks so bad in the pics as they were took just after i removed the majority of my gravel how long do you think it will take to go

I would recommend using 1/2 the recommended doses for pimafix/melafix and 1/2 the doses of salt. I don't do full doses when I'm mixing meds. And if you have scaleless fish, then half that again. For me it took about a week, week and a half. Just really keep a eye on him.

Dont use pimafix, that not a parasite thats from fighting with another, you need melafix!!!!

Pimafix and Melefix is one in a same. You can treat with Pimafix as a preventive from internal and external bacterial infections as well as fungal infection. both do the same yes?

Well yesterday I did a saturated salt dip on the fish with symptoms then did a 50% water change then I added the api salt to the tank and this morning I can already see a noticeable improvement in all of the fish I haven't used the primafix yet
I'm going to repeat the saturated salt dips to day
