Well yesterday I got 6 Tiger Barbs for my Yellow Labido, he chases them one in a while, but they're fast enough to escape. My concern is that they're all the time stressed. At my LFS, there is also 1 more mbuna Metriaclima estherae (Red), so I'm thinking - would it be better to give them back barbs and get that mbuna? My tank is almost 20gal, size - 61 x 31 x 46 cm

He's well over 2 inches, can't get it very precise, cause he likes to hide and swim quite fast...

Yup, I have already decided to keep this as it is - Yellow Lab with Barbs. Looks like Lab got used to them and is more tolerant.

Good, glad to hear you decided against getting the red zebra mbuna, that would have been a disaster in the long run. If you end up getting a bigger tank i liked to keep my yellow labs with yellow tailed acei, they got along good and looked very nice together . Need to have a bigger tank though , like a 55 gallon. Look in the classified ads and on craigslist, you can usually find lots of 55 and 75 gallon tanks forsale often with all the filters gravel and everything you need for much less than buying new.
