add plywood to the back and sides for added strength. 1/2" ply should keep it from toppling over.

If you didnt want to hide the sides of the tank you could put the plywood on just the back part andf use screws instead of nails and ifi it is possible, anchor it to the wall it will be up against, very easy to do. BTW Rallysman, good idea on the plywood. I was thinking of construction all together but the plywood is the easieast solution.

One point that is very important is the plywood must be a single piece from top to bottom. Using a single piece of plywood will tie it all together.

Yes, you could have bought some beer and invited me fishing. Actually, I am constantly strapped for time now so I cant go fishing or help build it. You are doing great so far.

In the above post, I forgot to say that you can omit the solid 2x4's by using solid sheets of plywood. If you already bought them, go ahead and use them on the outside to the left and right. After skinning it, that will create a pocket on each side of the shelves that you can run wires and plumbing through. In my design, I left the pocket in the left side open and closed it in the right side. Since mine is in a corner, the cords and plumbing are not visible from most of the room.

ok im finishing it know but how do i secure these?one big 2x4 on each one (4)? thanks. **** i would i have invited you but it such a long drive (80miles) to do something that would only take 30min) But hey i guess you would have got a free 24 pack!
