Hi, i've a male motoro. Since the 1st day i was purchasing it, it was ok, the appetite is very good, eat greedily.. The LFS man put the tube in its sting to prevent from anything bad happens..

Recently when i discover that the ray condition is not active, stop eating, park itself at the corner, i feel curious, so i pick it up, put it in small tank and see that its stings is injured.. so with extra caution, I slowly remove the tube, and i discover that there is wound on its tail.. Currently i just put small amount of salt and aeration..

Any advise from all the ray master? What should i do with it?? Hope i wont lose him... Thanks

looks fine... is the wound on the tail or on the stinger its self?

i would say something is wrong w ur water params, not the tail...

im not a ray expert but i think that the tube on the stinger is just for transport and having that on for a long time could have caused irritation to the tail.

I have used a koi glue/spray 'that koi keepers use to seal wounds' on my newly received rays when i saw that they had damage to there stings and it worked really well i think it was called propolis but dont take my word for it as i cant find the bottle

pristine warm water and salt.... add 3lbs per 100 gallons

The wound is on the stinger itself.. My water params fine, the other rays are doing great, eating well and very active..
What i should do to cure it? thanks
