I have a mean ass fish that was given to me by a friend. When he bought it they told him it was a convict, but I think that it is a white devil. I have had it for about a year in my oscar tank, it just keeps growing. Please help ID this fish.

It has always looked like that it was only about 5" when I aquired it now about 10" I put him in my 650g and gave oscar all 90g to himself and they both seem to be happier. I just went with what my friend told me until I got new info, but I am happy to know that I was on the right track. I am more of a bottomdweller keeper.
its a rd/midas one or the other or a hybrid, can never really tell unless its wild caught from a reputable dealer. the white is fine doesnt look to be sick, there are a million different shades of orange white that they can be.
ps. if youve grown it from 5 to 10 inches your doing a good job keep it up, most a hole fish that get given to friends wind up getting flushed
He is now in a 650 with my tsn, lsn, tire track, black bullhead and a bunch of plecos. He seems to be happy.
