hi,
my frontosa has just started swimming vertically, its erm, nether regions, are swollen, so im not sure if it is swim bladder or he is actually a she and pregnant???? (although i dont think that would explain the virticalness)
im just hoping that he/she is alive in the morning so i can take it to the shop and see if they can help at all.
please help if anyone has any suggestions, and i dont have any treatments at home, so if anyone can tell me what could help that i may have ling around the house.
THANKYOU
im really worried :(

looks like swimm bladder, by the description. If you have access to salt put one spoon per 20 gallons....

keep us posted

THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!! :D
and i will check out that website, but right now im chucking in my salt, i will b using aquarium saltm is that ok?

yep...

( but don't get your hopes very high....) Do the best you can and keep us posted.

thankyou miguel, il try not to but it is my prized possession and i love my fronts dearly. how often should i add the salt?

morning,
after i added the salt, a friend recommended that i hold him straight and re-focus him, i held him like it for a couple of minutes, and i no this sounds disgusting, he had a huge poo and then swam off right as rain lol!
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
seems he just had constipation lol :D never thought i would smile about that!!!
thank you everyone for your help, i thought i was going top loose him!:(

I am so glad!!

And I gave you wrong advice. Being european I confuse these "gallons"...Salt should be added at a table spoon per 5 gallons ( more or less 20 litres ).

I was worried as hell, and was waiting for you to pop back up!

You see, you did the best you could, it worked. You learned, we learned.

feed sparingly, or not at all for a couple of days and be on the watch...
