Today when I went to feed my rays, my reticulated ray was floating on the surface, breathing very labored. When I examined him, I noticed that the edges of his disc had lost tissue and was very pale. It looks like his disc is starting to curl. I know this is not a good sign. Does anyone have any suggestions??

I changed the water as soon as I found him. Ammonia and nitrites are 0. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the nitrate card. Will get a new one in the morning. He is doing better. Other rays are all fine.

what color was it? Red? Orange, Dark red? Yellow, The nitrate test, Temp? I would be doing a large water change and check my filters,

I did a 60% water change. The nitrate color is yellow which is great. Temp is 82 degrees. The rays have been together for 18 months and are the only fish in the tank. I don't think that there are any parasites as I feed only night crawlers and Massivore, no goldfish. The filters are cleaned every 2 weeks and are rotated.

I'll keep an eye one him today and hope for the best. If you have any other suggestions, I would appreicate them.

Thanks.
