Help needed to ID Catfish...

I saw a cool catfish but I dont remember the name and I actually put it out of my mind before I decided to go for the odd ball look.

What I do know is that it was brown with black spots and hat a tail similar to this shark:

Any ideas would be great, I would like to look up some information before I got for anther trip to the LFS

the picture is of a sandbar shark, but I am looking for a name of a catfish which has the same tail as that shark. I think it only gets around 6" and it is brown with black spots...

from your description of the body it sounds like some kind of synodontis.

but the tail doesn't make me think of anything but some plecos. you sure you're remembering the tail right?

the tail maybe different I just remember it being a different shape and the top fin on the tail was long and wavy I guess you would say...
