help needed

ok guys.....i have my male severum in with the angels at present because just before xmas the vieja decided to kick his butt

but hes been lazing round and last two days his lips have puffed up,and just now ive noticed hes laying up at the waters suface on his side,when he tries to swim it as if his bums pulling him back up to the suface,,,,,

got to go to work now....arrrrhhhh........any ideas what it is and is there anything i can do?

havent got any stats sorry

welll if he is swimmin upside down and things like that he could have lost his swim bladder but im not to sure if it is this.

Sorry to hear that Nellie.. i lost one today too.. a beautiful little young tang african cichlid.. he was growing into a beauty.. had him in with angels to protect him... all was well for months and heater suddenly went to 90 degrees ..africans cannot tolerate high temps..threw that heater away but he did not recover..angels were fine..sorry again for your loss.

what do you guys do with dead fish that are over 6inches......i put my severum in a large coffee jar then into the garbage...

since i have a farm and lots of gardens anything that passes gets buried..thats good using a coffee jar ..
