Help needed!!!

hi guys!!!

i had bought a Red Dragon recently....

i was out for 3 days and had told granny to feed him only once...
(dunno how many times she fed him)

when i got back i noticed he had a big belly....
after some time i was checking on him he had stopped pooping!!!!
(as i have a bare tank its noticeable)

last night while i was having dinner he was jumping alot and hiting d cover of tank..(why he was doing this???)

later night my bro sleeps in the drwaing room were my FH is...
he came shouting my name n said look what happened 2 your fish..

i rushed in the midnight n saw him floating n taking deep breath but was still alive..

i asked him what happened he said '' there was a hitting sound on d tank ''
may b he tried to jump too hard and hit the tank cover.

to the GOD's grace he was normal after some time...

i did 50% water change and added salt....

he is pooping white( some internal parasites) but its not stringy

i'v not fed him since den....

my questions are-
1. why was he jumping????( saw the tank cover nothing inside)
2. what should i do abt his pooping???
3. should i feed him boiled pea's????
4. tell me what can i find in india for his treatment....

sounds like a parasite problem. I say raise them temp up to 85* (farenheight) add salt, keep uo on your waterchanges as much as possible, and try to find some parasite medication. It might be a good idea to drain the water level (if you can) to keep him from hitting himself on the lid. Slightly boiled peas are good for bloat if thats the problem.

sounds like he either has Hex or you just about lost him to bloat. Fast that dood for a week and do daily / every other day 50% water changes.

Where r u located? If it is hex then hike the temp to 30-32 degrees and try and feed it food soaked in metrogyl. how big is the tank?
