Hi all hope u can help as iam at my wits end . I have a 360 gal tank i cant seem to get my water clear no matter what i try heres what i have tried
1 . FX5 and eheim pro2
2 . fX5 very large box filter
3 . FX5 very large box filter and 3 foot sump on now

So what do u lot use is there a filter to do this tank on its own ?.
Although my water is not clear my water perims are fine HELP before i give this hobby UP !!!!!

FX5 has the sponge and alfrog
eheim has the eheim sub pro but not using now
the big box filter had sponge and flocol which this on its own is ment for a 3600gal pond using diy overflow to run it which empted into a 3 foot sump full off filter floss then returned to tank .

Howdy,

When you say your water is "not clear", do you mean milky, or do you mean suspended matter?

If it's milky you need more biofiltration. Not knowing your feeding habits and stock, I can only say you need a bigger Eheim. The FX5 is negligible for biofiltering a tank that size, and the pro2 is as well. Think 3x Eheim 2262

If it's suspended matter, you need more mech filtration. A few more FX5 or Eheim 2262 with floss on top. Those would also prevent a lack of bio. Or use large powerheads with HYdrosponges.

Bottom line, you're simply underpowered :(

Best of luck,
