So this week I found that my heater malfunctioned and was at 95 I think for a day maybe slightly longer I immediately bought a new heater, did a 40%water change with cooler water and added bubblers, tank is stable at 80 now. But I lost a couple mollies and a Honduran red point Monday and Tuesday then yesterday I lost another hrp and today I lost another.. so I tested my water ammonia is at .25 nitrite is at 0 nitrate is at 40 ph is 7.5. All fish appear healthy eating with no indications of illness am I missing something or was this due to heat

The heat definitely had something to do with the fish loss.

Well hopefully this was the last fish to go, I had a breeding colony of Honduran red points 4 females 3 males and now I’m down to 1 female 3 males. I had 3 spawns last week that hatched but were eaten I don’t want to lose the last female

Well I think I have it figured out an Odessa barb clues me in with it’s bloated belly and white stringy poo I have hex in the tank... I am unsure if the heat spike caused it or if the pregnant molly I bought for my son that died maybe wasn’t actually pregnant... now I am currently feed NLS HEX SHIELD and dosing the tank with metro
