ok I am pretty new to salt! I have been checking my water and all is well now my nitrites are at 4ppm and mi nitrate are at 160 ppm!!! Why did this happen and yes I do 25% every 2 weeks!

what size tank?? anything less then a 90, and your fish stock is a bit high for 2 months in. Nitrate is virtually unavoidable, but nitrite usually hints to me that you have a steady source of ammonia. I would be interested i knowing what source of water your using? tap water contains a lot of ammonia and nitrite for sterilization and this makes it that much harder to get rid of. Also are you over feeding??
ok sorry I retested nitrate and have 20ppm IDK what happened and 0 amonia and nitrite is 4 HOW bad is this? and my tank is a 100 but I have a 300 awaiting the fish when they grow out!
I have been into reefs for about 2 years but this is swfo system I have a 5 inch bed of live sand and some fake coral stuff! I have had these fish for about 3 months all is well with them! Growing and healthy
wow, 5" of sand? those numbers arent really bad other than nitrite, just keep a close watch on that.
Yeah I know its alot but my wrasse loves it he borrows all day! And he get 19 inches so im sure he will have to have it that deep in the future!
