Help, not sure if I have a problem

I came home today and my Trimac was acting strange and didn't come up for food. I then noticed his poop was wierd. Kinda looked like a beaded strand. I netted it when I saw it floating around, see pic:

What do you guys think? He's acting ok now since he expelled it but hasn't really gotten his color back and isn't begging for food like usual. He's fed NLS w/Thera A, Omega One Cichlid, Krill and Shrimp as treats.

Any changes in the fishes diet? The feces looks formed. It could be internal Hexmita in which case you can purchase Flagly or "Metro" for that (anti-parasitic) dose with its food and it should clear up. No other additions to the tank lately?, water tests OK?..........Otherwise you could wait a day or so and see how he does.........dave

Thanks for the replies but he died tonight

I don't get it, he was fine in the morning then sick in the afternoon, dead a day later. Didn't even give the meds a chance to work He was a beefy 10".
