My pleco is very pregnant and fat and is literally going to have her babies today (not really but it feels like it). I have no clue what to do can Someone help please. It’s a common pleco and it’s like 9 inches long in a 55 gallon tank I know I’m prolly going to put the babies in a smaller tank but I don’t know please help!

Is there a male in the tank?
Plecos lay eggs, usually in a cave, and the male needs to be there to fertilize them, if he's not they won't hatch. if there is a male, they then guard the cave to protect eggs and young for a while.

Ya, you won't have to do anything. The male takes care of them. It'll be a few days before the eggs hatch anyways, so there is no rush. If there is no male in the tank, then you just have a fat pleco :).

Any pics?

Fish don't get pregnant. The eggs are fertilized after they are laid by the female. Unless you have a male the eggs won't be fertilized and no fry will come of it.

I am more surprised that the pleco is gravid, not seen that one in a common. they need specific things to nest. unless she becomes egg bound should not be an issue.
