There is a large blizzard upcoming ( as all of you know ) and there's a big chance the power will go out and that means no filter or heater for my fish they are pink convict and jack dempsey both juveniles please help me pink convict 3 and a half inches to 4 inches jack dempsey 3 inches :O how long could they make it i have a close relationship to my fish and I am worried

Perform large water changes now while you still have hot water. What size tank? And, is all of your home's heat from an electric furnace or do you have a wood/pellet stove? Does your tank have a good cover or is it open to the air?
Stop feeding your tank after the change until you know how your part of the utility grid is going to hold up. A battery air pump from the sporting goods section of most department stores can keep aeration going so long as you have batteries. So, stock up while the roads and stores are open. Good luck.

10 gallons, right now my home is heated through vents but if the power goes out it will be from 2 fireplaces downstairs, no cover but I can use a plastic tote lid, and I can't get a air pump right now cause its too windy on the roads and its dark

If power go's out what I do with my HOB filters is manually pour aquarium water in filter to keep bio-bacteria alive as well as supply oxygen to aquarium even if done every few minutes , do not allow area where bio such as sponge, bio ceramic rings etc. to go dry ! As far as temperature goes as long as the outage isn't too long some fish will be ok. If necessary remove some water from tank, and add warmer water to aquarium your hot water tank should be still have warm water in it.
