help on fish debate!

hey i have 2 give a 2 minuite speech on a subject that interests me for my english gcse i have chosen the topical of tropical fish but i dont know what angle 2 aproach iit from basically i just have 2 show i know wat im tlaking about and try and interest the examiner they dont have 2 like the subject just so that they understand my speech and that i get acrosss my point of view i wasnt sure how to do this thou shold i do the angle of setting up a tank or wat i dont really want to do the explanation of setting up a tank as thats boring so ideas please (btw i im 16 and have had 12 years of keeping tropical fish 9 of these years have been monsters atm i curently have a 450g 180g and several others i also work in my lfs so its not like im new and unexperienced to the hobby but dont get me wrong i can always learn more as i do every day especially thanks to this website


please excuse any typos im not a retard i just typed this up very fats as im in middle of sorting out my coursework cheers =p
 
you could very well talk about your absolute favorite fish... thats an easy tpoic for two minutes.
I had to give the same speech in my Intro to Public Speaking class lol. start with:

Intro:
1. Tropic Fish Keeping
2 your tanks
3. your fish: A. natural habitat B. Breeding C. your experience

then take it from there and develop it your own way.. lol i did Heros Efaciatus haha

yep.....it's easy. 2min? try talking about a Ch-47 for 1hr, and keep them from falling asleep.:(
 
I had to do this before i chose to do it about my fave band. As at secondary school i was embarassed to talk about my fish but now im on an animal care course im fine. But back to your problem

I would just do a speech on either your fave fish and why, parhaps bring a picture in. Or even about the MFK forum and what it takes to be a monsterfishkeeper.

thanks bruce and every else i get same thing some people think im sad cos i like and keep fish but tbh idc i mean the kids that seem 2 have a problem with it just have nothing better 2 do with their time then smoke and drink so i guess i kinda come out on top there

I did this 2 weeks ago, i did one last year on fish so this year i just ranted for 10 mins about religion and got an a*. Do something that kids will be interested in like teethy fish ( pirahna, payara, hydrocynus, hoplias), bagarius yarelli seeing as there was the documentary on them and other predators.
