Hey guys..i need you guys help in determining the background and the lighting of the tank..right now he is in a 150 gallon with black backgrounds and a 9 watt led...please help on what should i use as it is not looking good on the aro. Thanks guys

usually what people do is keep it in a tank with white background, known as white tank treatment (WTT), till about 12" to allow the scales to cross aka crossback than they put in black background for a deep gold color
not sure how effective are all this 'treatment' though as genes is still the most important factor
i kept mine in a all black background since the day i got him and only this 1-2 months he looks more like a crossback than a RTG lol
