Help on moving K1

Hi all I have the middle compartment on my sump is empty and i just wondered on doing a moving K1 chamber. Any advice on moving the K1? air stone,air ring or power head how powerful the air unit or power head needs to be to move it .
Also how much K1 in the area I have to work with its 15inch Width 10inch depth and 18inch long any advice please thanks...

K1 is very bouyant. If you put a lot in it will be one big mass pushing upward and tumbling won't occur. If you use an air stone it would make it worse because it will lift the media up. Your best bet is to use a powerhead and add media till you achieve the right bio reactor motion.
Here's a picture of the Nexus with water running with no air. Media is lifted 3"-4" above the operating level. Without the air/water jets pushing it down the media is stuck and not moving. Good luck.

Thanks I add seen a vid on YouTube with 2 air rings lifting the K1 does the media sink when mature ? . That add worried me that it would float so how's this guy got it to sink thanks . I think he's a member on here I will have to track him down

i have a 5" buble disk under mine and it tumbles. id put in about 9lbs worth in your area, and put 2 bubble disks. i built a chamber for mine out of egg crate and zip tied it together.
