in the Living Water
Hi guys, I got a juvinile 2.5" Tiger Oscar last week and until now I assume it's still acclimating at my grown out tank. But the thing is I notice that it wasn't even eating the food that I'm offering it... may it be prepared/commercial/live or frozen my O doesn't even touch the food... how long can a juvenile O get w/o any food? and how can I bring it's appetite back? :nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly: BTW the water chem is stable and nice, and the O has (2) juvi polypterus ornates which do their own thing and doesn't even bump at the O.

Thanks in advance!

Give it time. He will have to eat eventually. And if he doesnt eat in a couple days I would throw in some live minnows for him to eat just to assure he doesnt die but I doubt he will starve. He should be eating pellets in a couple days. Patience is key in this one

^Thanks, btw, I did throw up 20pcs of newborn fingerlings from my (suspected as a wild type platies), but the thing is as I have said, there's (2) ornates which ofcourse eventually will eat up those fry(s). I really don't know what's with this fussy O, I have a wild type O also which is a little bit smaller than him and eat like a pig (typical-O-wag-tail-er)... would anyone tell what's their favorite/ common on nature food that might stimulate it's appetite? Thanks. =)
