Help on my softshell turtle

I have a softshell in a tank with sand as a substrate and I think bits of sand is stucked into its nose ,,and as i can see it is like swelling...:cry: any suggestions?

I would say take her to a vet but your location doesnt help. What kind of sand are you using ? Ive allways keept softys on sand with no ill consequences:confused: I think we need some detective work here. Where are you housing it,what temps,have you got filtracion,whats the turts diet and by the way exacly wich species of soft shell turtle are we talking about? Knowing this will really help;)

im using white sand having the size of a maybe a tomatoe seeds,An asian spiny is what i think i have

Like putting salts? will turtle tolerate salts?
