need some help on new tank i'm going to get a 55 to 65 galon tank im wondering what filter system would work best let's say ive got $120 to outfit and supply ive all ready got fish and decor.

I've had great luck with aquaclear hang on back filters.
I would get an AC110 and then you'd have some extra scratch for fish:)

when i first set up my 60 gallon i used a hang on filter (takes up room behind tank though). I used the Tetra Tec PF 500 Power Filter @$54.99 with insertable heater for filter-Tetra Tec HC200 Capsule Heater (Tetra) @ $20.99. found prices at "ThatFishPlace.com". You can save money making your own filter media. (tetra makes their own pre packaged bags with carbon). i didnt like them...costed too much. now i use mesh bags for carbon and normal bulk filter pads. it's a cheap way to get started.

Price match at Petsmart if there is one nearby, print of webpage with price. Get an AC110 and xp2. xp2 was $80 and the AC110 was 40, or you could go with a AC70 for 28.

Although Eheim is a bit pricy to begin with, they last forever
