Hi!

Last night I noticed that one of my Oscars eyes seems to have a bursted blood vessel or something.

I kept an eye on him and noticed that him and the other abino had been fighting, and he was looking particularly bad - taking slugs as he just sat at the bottom.

At this point I decided to separate them... and he was moved down to my 14g, now I am aware that its a tiny size for such a big fish (he's about 6inches) but its better than being beaten on.

I've kept an eye on him since then and basically he has sunk down and hasn't really moved in the last 24hours. And his breathing seems to be quite heavy.

Water is all freshly changed and there is a airstone going.

Any ideas how to make him feel better? At this rate I'm not sure if he'll make it the next few days.

just keep up with the water changes...looks like perhaps it slammed into something or got attacked by a tankmate

thanks for that...

how often do you think would be good?

planning the next bigger w/c on sunday...

got home from dinner tonight and situation hasn't really changed but my gut seems to say that I don't think this guy is going to make it much longer...

just still down in the corner, pretty much entirely on his side. the gasping seems to have gone down a bit, but doesn't seem in a good way...
