Grandma's Basement
I'm transporting a pbass to a bigger tank and he went belly up in the bag. He's still breathing, but he's doing a head stand right now. I poured half a bottle of Prime into the bag and put an airstone right next to his gills to help him. He's in a bag with a red severum.

Can someone please help? What else can I do?

half a bottle of Prime? did you do this before or after you noticed his condition?

It might just be the stress of being in the bag. I would put it in a tank and closely monitor it.

Half a bottle of Prime is probably going to do a lot more harm than good. A better thing would have been to add a tiny bit of prime and some methylene blue.

Yeah I know. I panicked a little bc i thought the other fish in the bag was making too much ammonia so I put prime in.

What else can I do Now though?

I put him in a different bag with dechlorinated water and an airstone by his gills so he doesn't have all that Prime in the bag anymore. What else would you do?

Hold him in front of the return outlet on your pump or get oxygen over its gills ASAP.

I have resurrected many fish this way

If he is big enough to fillet, I recommend garlic and butter.

If not, he can be pickled in vinegar. Add diced onions and peppers to taste.

Probably to late now, but if you catch it in reasonable time you can get the oxygen over the gills and get them back. Has to be within 30 minutes. I have done this with Arowana, Dempseys, Fire eels and a few other I have caught that jumped out and dried up.
