i have about $5 to my name my ph is 7.2 and i can't get it down i have put ph down in my tank and black water extract ??? any ideas i'm going to try peat moss but i can't drive atm:cry:

down is only temporary & not advisable, & black water extract is tannins, peat water & a handful of minerals if memory serves correct.

I mean no offence bud, however A) with $5 you couldn't do anything anyways, & B) there is no info at all relating to what your catering for, where your source water is coming from, or what's current factors are buffering it at 7.2

i have very hard water it's 7.4 out of the tap, it's a planted tank with a mix of sand and small fine rocks, i got some cory cats and feeders in it.it"s now it's been set up for about 2 weeks it's a 30 gal long i need to ph at 6.0 it's gone from 7.4 to 7.2 in 36 hours of trying to get it down

First off, you don't want to alter your PH any faster than that. Second, why does it have to be at 6.0? From the type of fish you mentioned, your current PH will be fine if it remains constant. Consistency for PH is crucial. What type of substrate do you have? Large rocks?
