My xingu I has an injury to the side of his face. It looks like it is bleeding or has bled and has a clot, and now mt RD is chasing him relentlessly. I think she senses he is vulnerable. Should i rush out tomorrow and buy a small tank to put him in?

Probably like that cuz the RD and the pike were fighting, the pike lost to the RD so the RD is probably gonna chase it around for quite some time. The jaw is probably from where they were jaw locking and stuff. Isn't the xingu I way smaller than the devil? Hospital tank sounds good...
yep a ht is always helpful, cause you can use it for feeders when nothin is in there. hope ya get it before the rd killz it

The pike is healing up nicely I think he may have hit himself on something in the tank (edge of drift wood or rock). I think he finally got tired of my RD chasing him so he turned on her flared up and she backed off. Maybe they have an understanding now
. I'll continue to watch them. I upped the temp in the tank and added a lil extra salt during my last water change and will do so every 2 days for about a week until i'm hapy that scratch if healing up well.
PP to answer your question the pike might be a lil longer if at all, than the RD but of course the RD has a much deeper and heavier body.
