Sounds like a illness called pop-eye. Fish stores have medicine designed to treat it. Usually tetracycline or something similiar is used.

The Quick response is Clean the tank, Vacuum the gravel, change at least 20% of the water. Treat the Oscar (In a Hospital tank if possible).

IF this is an injury caused by another oscar (Or any other Tank mate) then you do not have to do all of the above.

There are quite a few Medications that can treat Pop Eye.

Thanks for the info Ill look it up thanks for the fast reply.

yeah pop eye, if he just got it you should be able to treat him....i on the other hand was never able to save a fish from popeye.......sad face...haha i dont have the thing for the faces

Thanks Ive looked it up Ive done a water change just in case, though the tank was cycled he must have got it from the lfs I noticed his eye the other day but it really wasnt popped out just a little bigger then the other eye. Ive added epson salts and Ill pick up some meds tommorrow just in case its bacterial. Since its just the one eye though and not both I suspect he ran into something and injured it the other oscars are fine.:)
