So my 500 gallon wont fit inside the house. i need to put it in the garage... I will have tons of heaters and a chiller. I will set some heaters to 76 then the rest at 78. That way the ones at 76 will only turn on like emergency heaters so it willl never go below 76. Then ill run a half a horse power chiller on it.... does anyone see anything wrong with this? could the cold and hot air ruin the actual acrylic tank (outside temps)? Would it warp the wood stand?? Imputs would be awsome...

take out a window.

it will fit inside the house , the only problem is that its my parents house ... and 4 feet wide is to big for any wall in our house for it to look good. it will stick out like a sore thumb. They want me to get a 350 gallon so it doesnt stick out so much but that costs me 2,300 dollars.... the 500 costs me 2,350 dollars.... ive made the perfect deminsions for cost effective acrylic sheets.

so i think its stupid to waste money on the 350 gallon when i can have a 500....

Yeesh. Good luck. I wouldn't be worried about the structure of the tank or stand, just the amount of energy required to heat and cool that size tank over that wide a temperature range. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

did u make the tank yourself, or where did u get it at

ii dont know about acrylic, but glass is fine outside

28 is the temperature outside or in the garage?
