Hi everyone, my fly river turtle has recently been observed to be inactive and not eating for 3 days. He defected 3 days ago and hasn't done so since. He is not interested in food like usual. He was staying at the bottom of the tank and comes up for air but doesn't swim around and is not as responsive as he normally is.

Is there any advice on what is possibly wrong with him and what treatment I could do for him? He is about 10 years old and has gone without food before when he got fussy about the usual pellets he was eating. I had to change the pellets and finally found another brand of pellets which he eats. But his behaviour then was still interest in food placed in but just sniffing it and not eating it.

This time round he seems different, not even bothering to come and sniff his food and just laying at the bottom. I have also noticed a slight cloudiness developing in his eye over time.

I have just changed all media today in his filtration tank to see if that helps. I live in a tropical country so water temperatures are always constant and never had to use a heater before.

I placed him in warm water and did a salt soak as well today. Gave him a massage all around his limbs and tail. Have also notice his tail end floating up, when he is staying at the bottom and when he swims. After I changed the media and did the soak for him, I placed him back in his main tank and observed his is swimming more but seems to be staying at the top now floating instead. Does he have gas or some sort of bacterial infection perhaps? He is very dear to me and I really would like to understand more about what is going on with him. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
