Guatemala City
Hello everyone, I live in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Central America, and yesterday wile I was walking out on the street just outside my house I found this tinny snake being attacked by ants so I decided to keep it, it is arround 6 cm long and maybe 1 mm of diameter, its full black, I have seen them a couple times before but never been able to catch them.
Can you ID it for me please and if you could give some info on what it eats it will be deeply apreciated.

Thanks, here are the photos

Is that a snake? It looks like a caecilian or something in those pictures. Can you get a clear shot of its head?

Its a type of worm snake? Keep it in a few inches of moist soil. Thy like to eat small bugs like termites hope this helps

If you can't get a hold of termites you can try fruitflies. They sell fruit fly cultures at petco.

Thats it, Typhlops microstomus, thanks a lot guys, I will have to look for ants or termites, guess that explains why it was beeing attacked by the ants.
