Hi im needing some help, I've just got this neon blue acara from the store as he wasn't doing too good and they gave him to me. I'm not really sure what is going on with him and how to fix this? I've tried doing research but I haven't been able to find much.
I gave him some food and he ate that, he seems to be find when swimming but when he's not swimming hes sits on the bottom. Has a white tube thing hanging out of the anal area
Thanks for you time and help.

Unsure on water as I don't have a kit, fish shop is out of stock and doesn't do testing.

Welcome aboard
White stringy poop is a indicator of intestinal parasites. I personally treated a small Electric Jack Dempsey with intestinal parasites by treating the fish with 100% Epsom Salt and General Cure. I treated the Dempsey in a separate container.

Thank you for your help! I'll research that more and try the treatment and hope it works ?

I agree with Tom. Looks like ip. Would feed some hex shield since it’s eating. Finish of the General cure if already started.
