:help2:i have a 40 gal tank with guppies and want to breed them. I am not sure what kind of guppies i have. and if i have 2 or 3 difrent kind of guppies can and will they breed with each other or just the same kind of guppies and if any one know if there is a fish club in the central PA?? PLEASE HELP any info is a big help to me

Guppies will breed with any other Guppy. They will also eat their fry, if they fry don't have a hiding place. a 1:3 male to female ratio will result in a large amount of fry.

it really doesn't matter what kind they are. The important thing is as nfored stated.
1) 1 male - 3 female.
2) lots of hiding.

well i guess it would matter if were only trying to breed one specific kind but it doesn't sound like you are

in about 2 month's you're gonna have a whole gang of guppies so it really doesn't matter :D

yeah for guppies... prettymuch all you have to do is add water...

lots of hiding places.. thick "bushy" plants and gravel should do the trick..

at most fish stores they have breeding grass which is 2-3 inches high and is very dense. my dad has a 20g and this works fine for him. GL
