As u may know, Im preparing for a motoro coming from pedro eighter tomorrow or Thursday. I check my tanks water quality and heres the list:

PH- 7.2
Nitrate-0
Nitrate2-0
As everything was going good the Amonia was .75 almost 1 which can be harmfull to the ray!

:cry:I don't know what to do now, I have a 405 canister filter that can clean up to 100 gallons and the tank is 75 gallons. In the filter is Chemipure, wierd oval shaped solids a hole through them and I added Amo Chips for Amonia. I just cleaned the entire tank yesterday...gravel, ornaments and took out all of the water and put fresh water in it. There is only 2 fish in thier not even 3in.I confused please reply I'm about to do a 20-30% water change if that helps.

it sounds like you set your tank into a new cycle by doing a 100% water change

That full gutting of the tank yesterday was probably a bad idea....

Well I'm screwed how long you think until it will be fully cycled?

if u didnt kill all the bacteria it wont take too long to catch back up.

To be honest there was a lot of strange stuff when I tried to remove most of the gravel, it was difficult to take, but I think theres still some bacteria any estimations on how long the cycle or any way to speed it up?

Dr. Tim's One-And-Only. I continue to recommend it because I've found that it works. It's expensive. But I've thrown away a lot of money on other BB's that claimed to work, but found that they didn't. So, I figure it's better to spend the money on something that does.

I'll see if the lfs has seachem stability because I think biospira is only for marine tanks. Also it says:

"Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 gallons*) on the first day with a new aquarium. Then use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 gallons*) daily for 7 days. Fish and other aquatic species may be introduced at any time as long as dosage is maintained for 7 days. For optimum biofilter performance use 1 capful for each 40 L (10 gallons*) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium."

Is this safe for freshwater stingrays?
