My silver 2 and a half inch arowana stays at the bottom of my tank and it wiggles left and right. its head is facing down constantly. It also seems to be hitting its head softly on the bottom. The aro is being kept with another 2 and a half inch aro in a 55 gallon tank.
what should i do?

I hate to say it but it doesn't sound like he has much of a chance. check your water parameters and temp. At that size they are very hard to save

how can i prevent this in my other aro?
am i feeding them to little? or is it that there is too much fish in the tank?

update: every 3 minutes or so the aro seems to go in a fit and wiggle real fast and swim fast.

I hope it isnt a disease or im not feeding them a lot though.

Your other aro probably beat the crap out of it...

Yep, this is most likely the case. Sometimes they don't even get beaten, just run to death from the other chasing. Best not to keep in pairs unless you have a way to separate them.

damnit, it didnt even look like they were fighting. everytime i observed them, they were getting along and were hanging out on the same spot. but i guess im wrong.
