Looks like ammonia burn which is what could have caused the ick outbreak to begin with! Change 50% water today and 50% tomorrow. Test ur water!

I just did a water change today.
Ammonia level is now 1.0ppm,
pH7.5,
No2 .25ppm,
No3 5.0ppm according to "API freshwater master test kit".
To treat ick I had the temp at 84F, and used some ick treatment.
Hate my self for not letting the tank cycle 100%.

Ok tomorrow do a 25% and everyday for 4-5 days. As the levels drop he should start getting better just make sure new water is same temp! Lites of no food today

If you have a separate tank, put it in there, keep the tank dark, add an extra air stone, and something for the pleco to hide in (clay pot). Also, if you want, use salt and/or melafix.

I think the radioactive gravel may be causing his fins to melt!!

:P

No I'd agree about the poor water quality and uncycled tank being to blame. Keep up the frequent waterchanges, and minimal or no food until the filter is better established.

Is there anything else in the tank that could be nipping it?

How big is the tank, what is filtering it, and how long has it been set up for?

don't add salt. Plecos are extremely sensitive to salt. It would do much more damage than good. Salt doesn't relieve stress anyways. Its overrated.

This is incorrect info. Plecos can handle "normal" levels of salt. ie the amount used to treat wounds or treat ich.
