ok i was vacuming out my tank and it was picking up all the nasty stuff in the gravel so i netted out the gravel and washed it so i get it all out and then i can barely see my fish theres so much debris. so i put water clarifer (put twice as much by accident) so then i put in my extra filter and change all my filters did a 50% water change but i already took out the fish when it got cloudy i had to put the toadfish in a breeding nusery for guppys the clarifier said it will take several hours but can my toadfish live in that nusery its just a floating plastic box i can't let him eat my other fish i need help hurry please

so whats the problem? your tank is cloudy? that wont hurt the fish. and you shouldnt change so much at one time. taking out gravel and wc will hurt the live bacteria.

put the toadfish back into the tank but acclimate it again

Your ganna kill off all your live bacteria and thats ganna be a REAL problem, the cloudy wate should go away but it wont hurt the fish

sorry to post so much, but one more thing. if your tank gets that dirty from siphoning the gravel, you might want to up your cleaning schedule

I have never heard of debris being caught in the gills from a fish living in cloudy water, the fish should be fine, their gills can open pretty wide to let stuff pass through

it had alot of debris couldn't it jam up in its gills?

no, think about it in the wild, debris and all kinds of turds floatin around, no harm

yea acclimate him back, fish don't mind debris.

ok i will but i do a 25% change every week my gravel vac dosent seem that strong though but thanks for the help
