yeah there are alot of fish that will work with eletric blues and yellows!!! that will be a nice tank if you do mbuna's. im sure you can have like 20 or so in there.

there is pretty much what you can do...as for a pleco you can but most dont. i am just going to put one small fancy pleco and 1 or 2 african cats

Thanks when I get it set up Ill post some pics Pat:D

I think it depends on the personality of your individual fish on whether a pleco will work or not. I had one for 8 mo , all was good, then added a fish rescue and bam, tore up pleco. nearly killed the poor thing. Then once the other fish saw one picking they all picked even though they had lived with this fish for 8 mo.

yeahh thats true, my buddy has a pleco with his mbunas and never had a problem, i have never had a problem but i keep tons of hiding places in the tank

Plecos will work if some wood is provided for the panaque types, and check their dietary needs b4 you buy. I have 4 in my AC tank and all but 1 (L333) is out and active during the day. I have mostly Tangs, which seem a little more mellow than the Malawi/Mbuna I had before.

if you give the plecko wood, enough so that it can hide it might work. My pleckos always end up getting picked on though, even with the more passive africans.

plecos will be fine but a synodontis angelicus would go much better with those...they syno's clean up the bottom just as well also, and they are cool looking
