I just got a blue crayfish and know nothing about them it was a gift "I have weird friends" I'm keeping it in a store bought turtle setup ??? for now all or any info would be great i'll post pics as soon as I fix my camera

You bought a Cherax species. They come from Australia and are very hard, but you've to give they clean and oxygenate water. You can try to keep it with big fishes (the blue crayfishes became longer than 8"!) but they aren't very aggressive or quarrelsome.
They are pretty easy to care for feed it fish, bloodworm and sinking pellets also any plants added they will love.
little more help please ! PH GH KH tankmates shes about 6 to 8 in and bright blue with a little purple.
Mine is kept in Ph 7, with normal Freshwater conditions.... Had mine for 18 months or so, he is a pretty big boy, originally in freshwater tank with Pictus, Id's but started eating Ciclids and trying to catch anything that moved past him so off to his own home he went...
I would not keep a male cray of this variety with anything as they get so aggressive but love my guy to bits he is a real character and extremely entertaining....
My guy loves to eat bloodworm, peas (processed are better) chicken (he loves it) and cray/crab food.... They are very messy eaters and tank hoovering is essential as they get grotty very quickly....
