i bought a tank its 36 x 24 x 12 the plastic center strip that hold the cover on is mising does it need it i know big tanks need it so glass dont bow but is this size it ok like this ?

yeah don't worry i have a 55g 48in * 12in * 15in missing the center bracket and its just fine. in smaller tanks they are mostly for holding the light fixture thats why they are made of thin not very strong plastic. ( thats why it breaks

ok cool had me worried i thought i wasted my $ and couldnt use it i bought it used and never thought about it till i got home. he had a turtle in it before i got a great deal tank hood light and nice stand 50.00
